Realtii — Privacy Policy

What Realtii is

Realtii is a free home valuation tool for British Columbia homeowners. We let you look up an estimated value for any BC address using publicly available property records, and optionally save properties to track over time.

Information we collect

When you use Realtii, we collect:

Email address. Required to create an account, sign in with our magic-link system, and receive valuation reports.

Property addresses you search. We log searches to provide valuations and let you see them in your saved list.

Properties you save. If you choose to add a property to your portfolio, we store that property’s identifier and link it to your account.

Basic technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on page). We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views and referrer sources without cookies and without identifying individual users.

We do not collect: phone numbers, real names, dates of birth, financial information, or any identifying information beyond what’s listed above.

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Provide home valuations and market context for the properties you search.
• Send magic-link sign-in emails so you can access your account.
• Send valuation updates and reports for properties you’ve saved.
• Improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns.

We do not sell your data, share it with real estate agents, or use it for advertising targeting outside of Realtii itself.

Who we share information with

Realtii uses three third-party services to operate:

Resend delivers our emails (magic-link sign-in, valuation reports). They process your email address to send those emails on our behalf.

Vercel hosts our website and provides anonymous traffic analytics. They process technical data like IP address and browser type as part of standard web hosting.

DigitalOcean hosts our databases where account and property data is stored.

These providers act as our processors. They use your information only to deliver their service to us, not for their own purposes.

We do not share your information with anyone else, except where required by law (court order, lawful warrant, etc.).

Property data and public records

The valuations Realtii provides are generated using publicly available property records, including BC Assessment data and historical sales data. This information is about the property itself, not about you. Your search for a property does not associate you with that property’s ownership unless you choose to save it to your account.

How long we keep your information

• Account email and saved properties: kept until you delete your account.
• Search history: kept for 24 months, then deleted.
• Server logs: kept for 90 days, then deleted.
• Magic-link tokens: deleted within 15 minutes of issue.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you have the right to:

• Access the information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate.
• Delete your account and the data tied to it.
• Withdraw consent for us to process your information (note: this means closing your account).

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@realtii.com from the address tied to your account. We respond within 30 days.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices: TLS encryption for all data in transit, encrypted backups, and access controls on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information with care.

Cookies and tracking

Realtii does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. Vercel Web Analytics, which provides our visitor counts, does not use cookies.

Children

Realtii is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 19 (the age of majority in BC). If you believe a minor has provided us with information, email hello@realtii.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the effective date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
